Guest Speaker: Doug Achtemeier

On the last Thursday of February, we were honored to have Doug Achtemeier give us insight and background knowledge on his life and what he does for CapitaLine. As the Vice President of Capital Markets, he provided the people that attended information about developed and emerging markets, currencies, and hedge funds. He also answered students questions in relation to the challenges that come with investing and the politics that are factored in when working for these companies. Ultimately, Doug Achtemeier spoke on the importance of networking within internships and the aspects companies look for when hiring which include sharp problem solving skills and communication skills.
