The Finance Student Society and Latino Student Business Association have both agreed on having a friendly mock stock market competition in order to not only benefit people who want to prepare for investing in the near future. Vice President Jener Carbonell gave the LSBA a small introduction to the world of investments and stocks on Tuesday. In this meeting, he was able to explain the basics of investing and the online tools he uses to find the best stocks for a high-returning portfolio. All in all, both clubs hope to get many members involved in order to have a amusing learning experience.

CSUDH Finance Students competed in the prestigious CFA Los Angeles Research Challenge. With the help of Dr. Malladi, the team of 5 went out to compete against top league schools around the Los Angeles area including the likes of USC and Pepperdine.

A mixer that allowed people to get a chance to get to know more about the Finance Student Society and network with the people involved in the organization. Many attendees got to interact amongst each other about different Finance classes they have taken, job opportunities in the Finance field, and how they plan on spending their remaining years in the University. Overall, it was a great experience for everyone who attended to get to know more about us and also a chance for us to learn about them.
